Hey guys does anyone know whats the dif bet the Xecuter 3 and the Xecuter 2?

Also theres this guy thats charging $305(this price is with TAX) Canadian to mod my Xbox, he said he will put the following:

1...A 120 Gig HD.
2...The Xecuter 2
3...His own bios

Is that worth it?
 
I already tried reading all that stuff there but its too 😕.

Do you or any one else think that this is an okay deal:

Sounds like Bullcrap to me.

Make a post in FS/FT to ask someone to do and I bet you can get a better price.

I already have my Xbox but the problem is the soldering and seting up the hard drive part.

You can get a solderless adapter, for an extra 15 bucks. Once you install the modchip, the HD should not be a problem.

Easiest part of modding is setting everything up.... (If you didn't catch my drift, I was saying modding is easy.)

Also do any of you guys think that the X3 chip is worth it even though it costs more mony when compared to the X2?

just FYI, solderless can be annoying. ive modded ~50 and the solderless ones always get knocked around and stop working until you open it and realign the D0 contact. it works ok if you never ever touch it, but also the bios on modchips can get corrupted after a while and honestly ive had more issues with solderless modchips than nonsolderless. just an observation.

Yeah, that's what makes it the most BS. I'm not certain about canadian laws, but I'd imagine if someone charges taxes... and doesn't pay them as taxes... then FPMITAP is in the future.
 
Get the X3, its definitely worth it over the X2, and get the one you need to solder. The additional memory banks for different BIOS flashes are great in case you hose one. I've never heard much good things about the solderless though they may work okay, just get the regular one and find someone whos decent with an iron. Hell instead of the $15 extra for the solderless just find someone to solder it and buy them a case of beer for the job.

Buy the hard drive yourself and set it up after getting someone to solder it. Theres tons of guides that are step-by-step. They make bootdisks that pretty much do the whole process for you automated. Plus its nice to get acquainted with your Xbox now that its modded.

He's ripping you off. I don't know the US $ of that but a 120gb is cheap as hell and the only other cost is the modchip for about $50 US for the X3.
 
I'll have to disagree with duragezic..the x3 isn't worth the money for most people. An xecuter 2.6 will be fine for what you need, I almost guarantee it. And you wont be flashing your BIOS anyways, and it has 2 banks..one for backup.

And yes, they make disks that set up the whole HD for you, saves a lot of time and effort 🙂
 
go solderless....work fine on my xbox.... its also illegal to charge taxes on this as this is not a legit service ....sent u a pm to
