There is only one vacuum, it's name is dyson and it is the one that rules them all. Nothing can even come close to it. PLUS! It never loses suction.

So, a company out there that does'nt except advertising money, buys it's own products to test, relies on us to send in money to support them and is 100% Independent............................. Plus why would one want a bagged vacuum? Messy, dirty, pain in the ass. Listen, vacuuming with the dyson really is heaven - so easy, so quick, so clean. It's beyond amazing.

I have two flights of stairs and plenty of pets and really the dyson is such a pure pleasure to use. I never thought I'd be thrilled by a vacuum cleaner as it was always work, the Dyson isn't work - it's bing, bang, boom, done.

I can tell you this, with a bagged vacuum I'm going to be changing bags a WHOLE lot. I normally empty the dyson once per floor.

don't do it! how much better can a eureka possibly be? will it pick up 1.2 billion pieces of dust as opposed to 1.1 billion pieces? just run to dyson over the same spot again to pick up that 0.1 billion it missed the first time.


just think about how messy that bag will be, then think about what you need to do to empty that dyson canister:

1) push button to release canister
2) walk canister over to trash can
3) press button to release bottom of canister & everything comes out
4) close canister
5) place back onto canister-holder

I bring you, the Bissel PowerForce Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

Its a Bissel, Nissel

It cleans, its cheap, its awesome. I know a few people that have owned one of these for a couple of years and I got mine a few months ago. $44.92 is value for money. If I have a spare $300 laying around its going towards things that I'm going to enjoy. Which does not include a vacuum cleaner.

Actually, probably not. The Dyson does a great job despite its "baglessness". IMHO having to take bags out of vacuum cleaners is too much of a hassle and can be messy at times.

You have to understand that time is money. You will never buy a bag with a dyson and you can vacuum much quicker and easier with it.

So let's break it down with some personal experience.
Dyson vacuuming, per floor of a 3 story house.
15 minutes per floor, 2 minutes to empty = 17 minutes.
3 floors = 51 minutes for a full house vacuum.

Bag vacuum, personal experience again.
15 minutes per floor, 15 minutes to change bags
3 floors = 90 minutes for a full house vacuum.
Add cost of bags at 2 bucks a pop, add 6 bucks per session.

Dyson = 51 minutes total, no bag cost.
Bag = 90 minutes + 6 bucks worth of bags.

At 60 bucks an hour that time can be considered to be worth...
Less than 60 bucks with the dyson.
96 bucks per vacuum with a bag vac.

52 vacuums per year.
Dyson = 3120 dollars of time and money.
Bag = 4992 dollars of time and money.

Dyson saves almost 2000 dollars a year.

Well I'm not *They* and I understand people rely heavily on *They* but I am *Consumer* and I say I prefer the bagless. The way mine empties is not at all a hassle. I take off the canister, hold it over the trash, click a button, and the bottom opens up and all the junk goes into the trash. Any bit of dust that might come out that I can't see (if there is any) isn't an issue because I empty it in an outside trash.

But, I respect your opinion. I realize people don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a vacuum. I'm just saying, if you've got the money and are willing to give it a shot, try a Dyson and you won't go back.
