I have seen several Hondas and other cars with fancy wheels and tires, but only on one axle.

Usually the axle is the rear axle, not the drive axle where a person would expect larger/wider tires to be.

Invariably, the front tires on such vehicles are stock rims with no hubcaps.

Anyone know the reasoning behind this?

Were those front tires kind of bald looking by any chance? The little ricers might actually be sporting some slicks in an effort to harness all that HP!!!!!!!! HAHAHA

I believe it's to give the impression that the car is running slicks (or some sticky street/strip tire). For example, Mickey Thompson makes slicks designed for stock 14" rims. However, I believe that driving like this on the street looks really stupid. But who am I to even attempt to understand crazy ricers?
