Can someone explain this to an old fart

I'm 42 which probably makes me ancient here. Anyway, while I'm stopped at a light this SUV type vehicle pulls beside me. The music eminating from this thing is so loud, my car is vibrating and I can't hear my car radio even though the windows are rolled up and the AC is one. I look over and the moron's wearing ear plugs.

Can someone explain this mentality to me? The guy happened to be Hispanic but there are pleny of stipid white people so I don't want to make race an issue.

If you are looking for two growth industries to invest in based on the habits of todays youth think:

Hearing aids
Tatoo removal

😉

People are stupid. It's a universal constant.

(real reason: louder is somehow directly proportional to how badass the individual behind the wheel is. Kinda like the peacock with the biggest, brightest feathers. The thought of what kind of women that kind of stereo setup would attract is kind of frightening tho. :Q)

Because he was playing his loud music for everyone elses "benfit". Hoping to impress someone I guess.

I take pride in knowing that even though the system thumps in my car, when the door is closed and the windows are up, you hear nothing on the outside.

LMFAO
I am still agog at the people who think I somehow WANT to hear their crappy bass-heavy rap and techno music anymore than they want to hear my crappy synth-happy new age and progressive rock music.

You saw a guy who doesn't even want to hear his OWN music?!?!
HAHAHAHAHAHA

Yup, that is the perfect system to me too... Although bass is sort of hard to hide isn't it?

One would think he could simply take the earplugs out and turn the music down to the same degree of having the earplugs in. That would be too easy for him. He wants the attention. Little does he know that most of the attention is negative.
