When I have to go to work and need to get up in the morning, it's a torture(I could sleep like 3 hours longer) cuz the night before, I always go to bed late, dunno why. But when I don't have to work, I'm getting tired pretty early and also go to bed earlier -> don't sleep that long in the mornings. I usually wake up when I should go to work. Anyone care to explain?

I have the same problem, so i tried a few things. I work at Circuit City, so i'm there pretty often....so i bought some different alarm clocks and tried them out. you know, to see if somethings would wake me up more "easily". After trying about 8 clocks(i returned one, bought one, etc...) I decided to try one of those new-fangled Zen Alarm clocks. So i went to eGay, and found one for $80 shipped($100 MSRP). It's ok, i guess. It's a nice looking piece in the bedroom if nothing else. It doesn't wake me up any better, but maybe that's because i'm not using it to it's full extent. I guess you're supposed to say your "daily affirmation" stuart smalley style when you hear the first Ding.

Anyway, i can't help you on your problem, except that letting you know that a different alarm clock does. not. help.

You are probably anticipating getting home from work all day, thus when you get home, you don't want to go to sleep because you know that when you wake up you will have to go to work again. This causes you to do more exciting things to make up for the time you wasted at work. If you know you have time the next day because you don't have to work, you will not have the urge to do stuff, thus you will tire.

You hate your job. You have no ambition. You spend most of your life downloading pr0n or playing computer games. Am I right??

I typically go to bed between 12-2am everyday and get up around 7:15 for school and earlier if i'm working. I never wake up tired. I'm not too sure why. I think i've narrowed it down though. I've done this for about a year now and my body has grown accostumed to running on 5-7 hours of sleep per night. I'll actually feel extremely tired and wake up horrible if I get 8+ hours of sleep now. One of these days this is propably going to catch up on me and bite me in the @ss.

Oh, and my suggestion is you should propably do some extracurriculars. Yes, it will wear you out even more at first but with a healthier body it should help you out alot with all the daily tasks.(Nevermind this if you already do. Just a quick suggestion)

Well actually I think it's cuz you don't wanna waste what little VALUABLE time off you have left.

I think that's why I do it at any rate.

I'm not a doctor however I think we all share your "suffering" . I goto bed late on week-ends and wake up early as hell. It's like a built in body clock we develope after being so use to waking up in the morning. Now try to switch from the day shift to the night shift then tell me how you suffer ;) .
