Haven't read the books, but, does Petigrew play a big role in the fourth book? I feel kinda cheated that he got away in POA, so I'd like to think that he gets at least a bit of an ass whoopin' in the future. 🙂

Yes.

Edit: Read the books. GoF is my favorite.

Wow! What you included in your original post really cleared things up for me. I was pretty confused about a lot of those things. Thanks for taking the time to type it all out. 😉 Now the movie makes more sense. I definitely have to read these books.

Glad I could help!

Start with Book 1, but beware... You'll find it very difficult to put the books down once you start reading them.

I've read one book in the last 3 years, and that was only because I was summoned for jury duty. 😱

heh, that's how i started on the potter books. costco had the first 4 in a set for $20. I got through the first 3 in a week of jury duty. It really started getting good in books 4-5, IMHO.

*drops into hp thread*

great summation rgwalt!

mike newell is directing GOF, i hope this turns out just as good as this one. JKR is working on book six, can't wait for that one either!

easy there Malfoy...

😀

Speaking of Malfoy he seemed like such a little sissy this time around. 😉 He was a little more menacing in the previous two movies.

That was my one major complaint about this movie. The characterization of Malfoy was completely different from both previous movies and the books. Malfoy has his whining moments, but he was never the sniveling wimp that was portrayed in Azkaban.

Read the Book

Sadly a lot of people don't even know what that word "book" means anymore 😉

Then they bitch because a 1,000 page book was condensed into a 2 1/2 hour movie and they don't understand the whole story 😉

LOL, I remember reading Battlefield Earth from cover to cover, and look at the crappy movie that they made out of it.

if you look at the books, malfoy is a huge sissy. all talk, no walk. threatens his father on you or uses snape who never punishes his students severely.
