they stream movies to your cable box. things that are on basic cable channels and on movie channels that you already pay for are free. if somethings on a movie channel you dont pay for, its usually $3.95 for the movie. you can usually watch the movie as much as you want in a 24 hour period. you can pause and rewind too.

when it first came out here, the sound used to allways get messed up but it seems like they fixed that now.

Thanks man..... Well i just called and she kept saying that there is no such thing anywhere, and all i could do is pay for pay-per-view movies and watch them when they come on.....

Is there a way i could check my box to see if i have it? I dont see the option anywhere, im using a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3100

Sorry to revive a dead thread by I love on Demand. I didn't even know I had it until last week when my g/f and I were both sick. We hit menu then found On Demand. We watched all of the DeadWood episodes and the Soprano epsiodes that we had missed. The movie selection isn't that great but at least you can FF and RW.

I'm just guessing, but wouldn't you need a PVR box in order for it to work? Where else would they buffer the video for FF/RW?

/apology for reviving this...

But I found Charter had enabled this recently and have been using it ever since. Its the next best thing next to a Tivo. Although I wish they had HDTV on demand; it seems theres never any really good programs on when my friends come over to witness the goodness.

I get

Starz
HBO
Cinamax
Showtime

on DEMAND, and its a great thing :p

I just started using this -- if you pay for HBO, check out all the HBO comedy specials that are in On Demand, like Lewis Black on Broadway.

It's nice to have a collection of programs you can start anytime you want, without having to bother with a VCR / PVR and tapes.

Yeah, selection is not the best but can't beat the convinience. Back when HBO was rerunning Sex and the City in May, gf and I watched a seasons worth at a time:)
