Can somebody recommend an indoor HD antenna

Argo

Lifer
Or a site that compares different antenna types. I bought a trek antenna and I'm not having a very good luck with it.

Indoor HD sucks if you live near tall buildings.

Anyways, I've seen the Zenith Silver Sensor reccomended a bunch.

I've actually at my wit's end. With I plug the antenna directly into the TV I get all HD channels other than CBS and ABC. However, when I plug it into DirectTV DVR I get none. Somebody suggested that trek antennas are crap.

I've got a Silver Sensor. Works pretty well for an indoor antenna IMO.

Edit: You should be sure that none of your HD locals are broadcasting in the VHF spectrum though, since the Silver Sensor is a UHF antenna only.

I'm using a TERK TV5 with my DViCO FusionHDTV 5 Lite... never have to mess with the thing. It's amplified so it's generally better than half the crap out there, and it won't break your wallet.

there is no such thing as a HD antenna. TV signals HD or not are broadcasted on the same signal that any TV antenna can pickup. If you bought a expensive antenna that said "Made for HDTV" you were had by a marketing scam.

True, they're all still VHF or UHF. But some antennas that are marketed as "HDTV antennas" (like the Silver Sensor) are still good antennas and not ripoffs. 😛

Not always. There are some stations that broadcast their HDTV signal on the VHF band, although UHF is much more common.
