Most plausible answer...

Also may be they invested in different countries... emerging markets is a vague term....

ADRE was down for the day.

As other said, "emerging" is a vague term. Are we talking China? Taiwan? Brazil? Latin America? Africa?

Uhhhh....AGRAX is anything BUT an emerging market.

It's got some very large cap holding in there - Ebay, Microsoft, Sony, ect. It's also got AMD which was down today as well.

VEIEX seems to be pretty large cap too. Though I don't recognize all the "largest holding" companies, I don't think small cap funds typically invest 17.7% in only 10 companies... but I could be wrong.

My god, i lost so much money on holding those stocks. And they don't bounce, they don't see m to move at all...

IS the fund in a 401K plan, if so it might be 1day behind (or more) in updating pricing. Otherwise, I'd have to go with others in that yours has different holdings.

'Every emerging country's stock index.'? Huh?
Please list some of the mutual funds you are comparing to VEIEX.

VEIEX is an Emerging Market Stock Market Index. The stocks it holds are dissimilar to the stocks held in the Major World Indices that you referenced. Just because the "S&P500" or "Dow Jones" of those foreign countries goes up does not mean that VEIEX will likewise rise.

All emerging market stock index funds will perform similarly, but emerging market (non-index) funds hold stocks in different countries and can perform differently from each other.

AGRAX is not an emerging market fund but a World Stock fund. Over 70% of it's assets are in the US, UK, Japan, France and Germany -- all developed countries.

dont know anything about your specific fund...

but some overseas funds prices are "corrected"... ie if the asian markets went up 3% today, then an asian market fund may only show a 2% gain
