I had a linksys router, unconnected it and tried the dlink 614+, unconnected the 614+ and reconnected the linksys BEFSR41. When I had the linksys hooked the first time I could share files, use remote desktop, and share the dsl line. Now that its back I can only share files and use remote desktop, no dsl. The router is set for dhcp and each computer has an individual ip address. I can use the dsl line on just one computer. Is this a Windows setting?

If the router is set for DHCP, make sure you've renewed the IP's on the computers from the Linksys router. It sounds like you might have the wrong gateway address which is preventing you from hitting the Internet (which also explains why you can still share files). If the gateway is correct, then not having the proper DNS servers would also make the Internet appear to not be working.

I ended up just resetting the router and the modem then restarting each computer and that did it. Thanks.
