Long story short.........
HP Photosmart c3180 w/ just the basic print driver installed on all systems.
ALL computers setup EXACTLY the same. (Printing to same printer-server-specific port w/ exactly the same settings, etc.)
2 wireless laptops print perfectly fine.
The wired desktop will not print. Documents time out and windows pops up error message from clock tray saying it there's an error. Won't even print a test page!!!!!! Changed ports on back of router, but no joy. I am clueless.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled countless times, but no way.
If I can print wirelessly, that means the info is getting to the router. From there....and being I can browse the internet......I have absolutely ZERO idea why it won't print!!!
(arrrggggh!!)
EDIT: If it helps, I notice when I log on to the print server I can print the test page from there. (Airlink APSUSB201 which has its own test page button in its own menu) But I can't print the standard WinXP test page from Windows. Rechecked/reinstalled everything & it's definitely detected properly, ports setup properly, etc. just will not print!
