i do NOT see it stated anywhere that they *CAN* have their lights off whilst driving at a faster speed(b) a motor vehicle while used by a person in the lawful performance of his or her duties as a police officer; or
(c) an ambulance as defined in section 61 while responding to an emergency call or being used to transport a patient or injured person in an emergency situation. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 128 (13).
and in my personal opinion, B is complete crock. that is too open to debate...damn the buddy system

right so where do you see it stated where they CAN'T have their lights off?
kinda implies that they can't go over 15mph without having the lights on.Originally posted by: FFMCobalt
Not sure about other states, but California emergency vehicles (including police) are not allowed to go more than 15 over the speed limit -- and that's only when they've been called to a scene and must speed to get there.
