Can Photoshop do vector graphics?

I have a direction field I need to draw some graphs on, & I need to deform some ellipses to match the direction field.

Can PS do this?

I thought I wouldn't have trouble, but every time I draw a shape I can't manipulate it independant of the rest of the document - I need to be able to move, stretch, and generally mess with it before I convert it to raster graphics.



Anybody have any idea the best way to accomplish this?

Paint shop pro can do vector graphics. I don't know about Photoshop.

You can download a working trial of paint shop pro, version 7. Good for 30 days.

Just select some old circle, and then transform it.

You can, but its not recomended, thats why we have Freehand

If adobe wanted photoshop to do vector graphics, they wouldn't make illustrator.
