Can Only Download 2 Files at at Time - Why???

I like to download movie trailers but only 2 download at a time, and the others will sit and timeout if the 1st two are taking too long. I have an broadband and plenty of width.

I have tried modifying my registry like:
http://www.tweakxp.com/display.aspx?id=764 explains but this does not help either.
If anyone has done this fix, do the quote marks also get entered into the registry entries?

Any other suggestions or fixes.

No, the quotes are not used.

If you're downloading multiple files from the same site it could be that the site itself limits users to two silmutaneous transfers, not your browser.

Getright is a great program - I actually paid for it awhile back. Very useful.

You can also use this registry file I made - its contents consist of this:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000010
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010

That sets it to 10 files at a time. Just have IE closed when you do this, otherwise, when IE does close, it might just overwrite the changes you made...and it might require a reboot.
Oh, if you do it manually, no, the quotes do not get entered in. They're just put there automatically, around whatever you enter.

It's not always IE that does it, as I've had the same thing happen using Firebird. A lot of sites have it limited now to prevent one person from jacking all the bandwidth.

Jeff7 has it right. Use his registry hack. I've been using this for a good while. I forget where I found it.
