can one use s-video as video input to a puter?

cna i use my card's s-video jack as a video-input....my VE card don't have a video in.....i want to watch dvd's from my home stereo system on my P900....(reason: i Don't Have a TV...and don't plan to buy one in the near future too...guys any other ingeneous ideas) thx

Not in that case no, you can get a tv card or a converter to go to your monitor, but that is tv out and only outputs no input.

Three ways I can think off, buy a vi/vo video card, buy a tv tuner/tv card, buy a tv genie(or something close that that), but all of these are going to cost you around half the cost of a 19" tv or more.
