Can one love an inanimate object? I LOVE my KVM switch.

I love this thing...and to think, I let it sit, unopened in my closet for a year and I used TightVNC to go from desktop to desktop. :0

I have this one.

I was so worried that I'd see lines on the display, the mouse wouldn't work correctly, etc. My worries were unfounded. :)

Sadly enough I too am deeply in love with my Linksys KVM. Just tap CTRL twice to switch from computer to computer... I still remember our first night together <sigh>.

Well, I love having two computers hooked to the same keyboard/monitor/mouse so that I can run one with all the junk running in the background and another gaming-only computer that is nothing more than an OS and some games.

Games run sooo much better without all that junk running in the background.

BTW-I have the linksys two port one that I got for $35, but it's ps/2 only. I want to get a USB one so I can run my mouse, Logitech dual optical, at a higher resolution.

Kinda off topic... but do you know of a way to disable that behavior? That's annoying as hell when you're playing pretty much any game since the CTRL key is used to shoot.

I have an old KVM Switch, 2port, that screws up my intellimouse when I use it. If you scroll up in web pages and hit the top of the page, and still scroll, it goes back a page (or more depending on how much you hit the wheel).

Disconnecting the KVM and going direct to the PC it doesn't happen. It's the DLINK/HAWKING 2port version, if anyone else has that one and knows how to fix it... please PM Me.

I've been down to 1 pc since. I need a good deal on a usb version.

As long as you dont try to consummate it, I don't see why you cant love something inanimate. :Q
