I'd probably cry and have a fit if anything spilled in my brand new car.

heck..my dealership floor mats (the paper ones) are still on the ground b/c i don't want people stepping on the real mats. I'm a freak..

Lesson learned: Don't buy a new car.

I mean, don't leave unopened sodas in a new car.

You might want to pick up some plastic floor mats. We got them from a Wal*Mart or whatever cheap store is around. They're clear and made of plastic. Sometimes they get so dirty, I wonder what the carpets would have been like...

I would use rubbing alcohol to clean the knobs. It doesn't seem to harm electronics, and it evaporates quickly.

my sister left some unopened cans of soda in my car on wednesday night, and I didn't touch the car until yesterday evening...turns out due to the heat (only explanation) the cans exploded, and the vinyl was all sticky :( I don't see much damage to the cloth seats though (the cans were on my bookbag, so a lot of it was soaked up by that...

I tried cleaning it as much as I could last night, and today when I went to drive it the damn gearshift is stuck like hell :|

I'm pretty sure honda won't cover this, so does anyone know how hard it is to actually remove the top cover of the shifter in an '03 civic (auto tranny)?

LOL :D
