I am not new to routers but for the life of me, I can not even logon to the router let alone get internet to work

I have FIOS...I have a non wireless DI 604...works fine

I have DI 624 hardware C revision with fw 2.50 and I can not even logon to the router

I own a netgear router, wgr614..I can plug it into the wall and then connect it to my computer and hit 192.168.0.1 and using admin with password=password..log right on

So I turn off the desktop

connect the DI 624 to FIOS on WAN, then connect desktop to LAN port 1...power up the desktop

Try to open IE and I get no internet

SO I type 192.168.0.1...logon screen for DI 624

Admin is blank..I type admin(all lower case)...leave password blank
hit ok..nothing
so this type I type password in password space nothing

I close explorer..try again....admin, password blank...hit ok and I get 401 authorized error

what the hell am I doing wrong

If you get the Admin page it means that the computer is logging to the Router.

Might be tha it is a return unit, and someone changed the password. Try to apply hardware to reset the Router.

It need to be plugged in.

Read the manul there are few revisions.

If you do not have a manual there are pdf manuals on D-Link support pages.
