Can not find IDE drive on Asus A8v mobo

I only connected one ATA100 drive on the primary IDE socket, but when the system boot up, it scan IDE device but can not find any IDE drive connect to the FastTract controller. However when I checked BIOS, the hard drive is there.

Can anyone tell me how this happen?

Did you load the fastTrack Drivers during the windows install process ?

Fasttrak is the Promise controller. SATA. You're talking about an IDE drive aren't you? If you don't have any SATA drives, then disable the Promise controller.

I also use 2 SATA drives, using VIA controller

Fastrak is Promise. You don't have any drives connected to it, correct?
