No. It forwards me to a new website and the back buttons will not work if they do. Then to just forwards me again

It is this issue: https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/incessant-browxer-hijacking.2563261/

The only fix for most of us who had this issue was to switch to a mobile browser that let you use an ad blocker. In my case, I switched from Chrome to Samsung Browser + Ad Block Plus extension because otherwise the forums on mobile were not possible because of the ad redirects.

Some users didn't want to do this, and they continued to be frustrated by the issue. I finally gave up and switched browsers. Users shouldn't have to do that, but it is what it is.

Crazy ads. I had an issue where the sticky video ad overlays the login form so I couldn't log in

Why not use Tapatalk?

Ads aren't going away anytime soon. Find other alternatives. They are out there.

I tried Tapatalk. I even paid $3 pro version, which still included some ads. Then a year later they added more ads and wanted >$10 for the new "pro version". Also, when their servers had problems, I couldnt use any of the forums in my list.

I tested a few mobile browsers, I settled on "free adblock browser", and it works great at AT, and the few other forums I use. Sure, it's not as mobile friendly as an app is, but I'm also not getting a hijacked browser either

On my desktop, I use Firefox and noscript. No script is not for the faint of heart. It takes some getting used to. You have to allow anything the website may need to work in the way you need, but you can also see ALL the other sites watching what you do and what's needed to run the site.

I use edge the make purchases for now, because noscript can be that intrusive.

I run two pihole DNS servers for all my networks. They work great for filtering all the extra garbage while using edge, or my phone, or quite a bit of stuff on my two rokus. Google news articles never looked so clean.

You dont have to just accept the ads, you can work around them.

However, all that, and YouTube and Hulu ads don't get blocked via pihole. Pihole blocks a few of the YouTube and Hulu call homes, but ads still run, meh....no biggie, the amount of double click .net garbage that gets blocked makes up for it.
