Can NEC 20WMGX2 do fixed aspect ratio scaling?

I am gonna get a 20WMGX2 if any 1 can confirm it. Since I am gonna play lots of 4:3 games on my PC, so fixed aspect ratio scaling is really important. BTW, the user manual says "expansion" is only available under DVI-HD, what does that mean?

Yes but it needs help from your vid card. In my case, if I run a game @ 1400x1050, it will be perfect.

lower resolutions give me trouble, but it is obvious to me that it's the fault of the ATI drivers. I have some games that only like 4:3 res and have had little issue. There are also a lot of work-arounds.

Not to mention my games look great :)

I think the expansion refers to running the monitor @ 1080p
If I switch the DVI mode (there are 2= PC and HD) to HD, it auto res to 1080p. Most likely to be used as an HDTV.

Thanks for your response. This is what the customer service told me( They just repeated what the user manual says)

The 20WMGX2 only allows fixed aspect on the DVI input
EXPANSION: Selects the zoom mode.
For PC1 input only
FULL: The image is expanded to 1680 x 1050, regardless of the resolution.
ASPECT: The image is expanded without changing the aspect ratio.
OFF: The image is not expanded.
NOTE: For PC1 input, Expansion is only available in DVI-HD mode. (see page 20)

Does that mean if I switch the DVI mode to "HD", instead of "PC", I can use aspect scaling to scale my 4:3 games? BTW, I am using an ATI card now.
