I currently have a:
Corsair cx430,
3GB DDR2
AMD Athlon 64x2 4800+ @ 2.5Ghz
PowerColor 6850 1GB
I know it's a severe bottleneck and all that, but I'm wondering if my PSU can handle an i7 instead of the AMD Athlon?
I'm planning to get:
i7 2600K ( I might OC it, but just a bit. I'm getting the K version just in case).
8GB DDR3 1600 Mhz (Already have this, someone got me this 4GBx2 GEIL RAM when he was in china. Never heard of GEIL, but it could be good.)
A motherboard with good overclocking capabilities and that works with my system.
I've been told previously that corsair have good PSUs, and that the cx430 can
handle an i5 2500K. Can it handle an i7?
One more thing, should I wait for ivy bridge or just get an i7 2600K now? Is this true? If so I don't think I can wait.
