I like to sleep with the door open in the middle of winter 10 degree weather
well my computer is right by the door and I mean right by the door
so when I open it the computer is exposed to 10 degree temperatures
Can this damage it?
Thank ya
Rico

Watch out for condensation, back in the day when I was running peltiers and water cooling, I used to have my PC in a room with all the windows open, I would notice condensation right after moving the PC from a warm moist room to the dry cold one.

I think the real question is what are you doing with the door open in 10 degree weather?

Yeah, the cold itself shouldn't cause any damage, however the rapid change in temps could cause a serious condensation issue.

Hm. So you sleep with the door open and you leave your computer right by the door.

Where is it you said you lived again??

As part of an overclocking experiment, I had my computer ouitside in -55deg. F weather with the SCSI hard drive in an enclosure that I kept inside. It ran fine but about all I managed to accomplish was to frostbite the fingers on one hand.
