Well Mrs.Skoorb dropped the ball, Last time I help you out !

Well, he did originally ask as a legitimate question...then learned that maybe not such a good idea!

He is know just having some fun..bad Skoorbie. :)
The fun started with my comment about the college education. All posts before that were of a truly genuine nature.

Darn you Skoorb,
I had the whole thing figured out for you right down to the mileage driven at time of fill up and the amount of each, in gallons, to add. Then you go a make a joke of it. OMG I am a nerd!!!

BTW, my wife tried the same thing in our Benz; I now fill it up when ever I drive it to prevent her having to figure out the amounts. I use Shell or Mobil premium in the Benz, it get the best mileage on those brands.

I have a Nissan Maxima too, and when I lived in CA, I was driving at a rate of 30K per year. I found out that the extra MPG I got out of premium more than offset the costs.

So Skoorbie, suck it up. You'll actualy save money that way.

Hmph, fancy engines needing premium fuel. They could probably knock the output down 10hp and have the engine live off of 87, saving you a lot of money over time. But everything's horsepower, horsepower.

Gee, gas must be MUCH cheaper in Alabama! By using the "89/93 mix" method, I could save up to $1.50 at EACH filling.

Besides, if you read the owners manual to your car, you'll probably find out that you won't kill your engine by not filling it premium gas. Most performance-tuned engines will run fine on 89 or even 87 octane gas, but you'll end up losing a little performance by doing so.

Anyway, I'll keep all this in mind if I'm feel like a cheapskate while I'm pumping gas one day.

CHRIST! He was asking a question! Obviously many of you do not read the other posts. How would one know if you could (not that you would) if you don't ask?

ANYHOW, of COURSE we are using the REAL gas. Skoorb is not about to suffer horsepower or performance!
