Can men get jobs as receptionists?

Yes, men can. When I interned at my first law firm, they made me answer phones for two weeks to get to know the names of the employees, their extensions, and most importantly, the clients.

I did it at a law firm while I was going through technical school. Big freakin' deal.

Yes, a lot of law firms and insurance companies have male receptionist - usually junior employees who just joined the company and get this task along with bringing coffee to senior partners.

i've been trying to find a job as a receptionist for a month or so now... no one will hire me. only a handful of people decided to interview me.

i want a receptionist job so that i can learn to run the front desk of my own clinic when i open one. i wanna know how to deal with insurance, billing, etc. on my own before i go out on my own.

Sounds like you may have to much experience, so they don't want to hire you as you will likely jump ship when something better comes along.

i don't have much experience doing front desk work or billing and coding. i have experience scheduling, seeing, and treating patients.

Yes, haven't you seen the office? Rolando is like one of the best ones. Karen would not stand for anything but the best.

I got one at the age of 17. I looked extremely young, and was pretty timid and short, so that worked in my favour. Did this for 3 years before becoming a support assistant (politically correct admin assistant?) for 2 summers.

When I was temping last Ovtober to this March, I did an assistant (admin) gig for 3 months. None, I mean none of my bosses treated me like an assistant. They gave me work, but never asked me to buy them personal stuff, or schedule personal things like they did the executive assistant.

In some Asian countries, a male assistant is a badge of honour.
