Opened my jar, seems to have started to seperate. Doesnt have any green though. SO, can I just stir it and be good to go? Or can it go bad?

You can just stir it and it should be good to go, assuming it isn't beyond the expiration date.

I think.

apparently you've never played indiana jones and the fate of atlantis. that would've answered your question.

That was one of the best games ever!! I would give my right arm to be able to play through it again.

Mayo is very perishable.

I believe bad mayo is the number one cause of food poisoning in the US -- so yes it can and does go bad. However, if you're not only it should only make you sick for a day or two... Also, it might be interesting to try and make yourself immune to botchulism by having a little every day then, while increasing the dosage every couple of weeks. Pretty soone you could eat a whole jar of bad mayo (on a drunken bet maybe?) and only have to worry about having a heart attack... Sounds good to me.

That is beyond stupid. Expiration dates mean very little if the mayo has been left out for a while.

Mayo should not just separate. Buy a new jar.

Even if it is not past the expiration date mayonaise usually doesn't seperate unless it is bad.

You know you have a problem when it starts to plot with the balsamic vinegar.

With food, if you have any doubts about safety throw it out.
