This was my first attempt at building my own computer. I got it all together easily enough. This is the system breakdown:

Coolermaster ATC-110
PC Power and Cooling Turbo 450-ATX
Gigabyte Ga-8ihxp
Pentium 1.6A
Alpha 8942 with a YS-Tech fan and AS3 applied
WD 1200jb
2 x 128 toshiba pc800 45ns RDRAM
and other stuff that is not important

Anyway I wanted to overclock this badboy to see what it can do so I started at 133FSB. Bam..no problem. Now I run up to 140FSB. Again no problem. So now I go to 150FSB and it runs fine. I ran Prime 95 all night with no errors and temps are stable at aound 36 degrees. So I have a 1.6@2.4 and am running the memory at PC1200. Needless to say this sucker screams and i ran all the Sisoft tests and am really impressed. This is a lot faster than my old Dell 1 GHz..hehe

Well the FSB is 150x4=600MHz data rate. Memory bus therefore is at 600x2 which equates to 1200MHz data rate. This was just some old memory pulled from my old Dell computer. Needless to say I'm quite happy with it's performance.

That's awesome! :D

Now.. hehe... not that I doubt you but I'm just curious -- is the memory in the BIOS set to 800 or 1066? If it's set at 1066 then that's some great RAM! :Q

Yeah I know how the math works...I just haven't seen a lot of pc800 rated memory make it to pc1200 let alone a lot of pc800 make it to pc1066 levels or pc1066 make it to pc1200 levels....It is a bit strange...

What are the sissoft sandra mem scores??? 3240's would be pc1066, 2700's for pc800....

You are...I have never seen it here...Those scores look legit!!! Good job....

Can you fear the Dual channel ddr granite bay boards now??? I mean 2 sticks running pc2700 produce 4400-4500 in sandra memory...Can't wait until november!!!

The best I got with my board was running ram at 442mhz ddr and got 3340's....
