Can install vista 32 bit now then upgrade to 64bit later

Could I buy vista 32bit premium install it, then upgrade later to 64bit without having to rebuy the os?

I probably don't need to say it, but just in case you didn't know only 64 bit apps will run so you'll need to buy all new apps

What do you mean by that?..I'm using a lot of 32 bit software/applications on my Vista x64,its really more to do with if the software is compatible with Vista rather then whethere its 32 bit or 64 bit.

I thought going 32bit to 64bit wouldnt let you 'upgrade' and would only do a 'clean' install ?

Yep you will have to do a fresh install if you go from 32 bit to 64 bit.

You got that part right :p. Think of windows 95, 32 bit OS, but still able to run Win 3.1 apps (16 bit). Same thing.

Not true. You can use any version. You just need to come up with a 64bit cd. The 32bit product key will work.
