i have a pair of blue chino pants and they fit a lot better than my tan khaki pants, so I would rather wear them, but was wondering if that is acceptable?

this is the closest I could find, but they aren't quite this blue:

I have better pants at home, but that is 4 hours away. I could go to macys and buy a new pair or borrow a pair, was just wondering

Um, khaki is a color and blue is also a color. They are not the same color though so saying blue khaki pants doesn't make any sense.

kha·ki noun \ˈka-kē, ˈkä-, Canada often ˈkär-\
Definition of KHAKI
1a : a khaki-colored cloth made usually of cotton or wool and used especially for military uniforms b : a garment of this cloth; especially : a military uniform —usually used in plural
2: a light yellowish brown

LOL, came to post this.

Can't be blue and khaki at the same time, as they are colors.

I guess they could be both, if they are plaid pants :)

Khaki is both a color and material

Chino is a material

Reverse own fail

Don't wear either pair of pants. Just shave your legs and make sure your shirt covers your underwear. Boom! super-tight khakis, just like the cool kids wear.

Jeans and a dress shirt.

Jeans and a black turtleneck. :p

Casual slacks should be perfectly fine. Most offices that don't cater to clients are pretty casual these days in that regard. Pair it with a nice shirt/golf shirt and you'll be fine. As the others said, just see what everyone else wears. Go more upscale at first then you can relax it over time.
