Can i use my ps3 controller on my laptop?

Or not? Not really sure. Either way, i have a converter for a regular ps or ps2 controller, but thought this would be a bit easier since i have access to my ps3 stuff right now.

Supposedly you can. I never got it to work though on my main rig and I've never tried it on my laptop. There are instructions here complete with the driver and setup program.

My recommendation would be to just buy a cheap third party 360 wired controller and use that.

Yes it does work with USB. The last time I tried it, I had to download a driver, though. Just search for one online.

Microsoft's game pads are much better and far more ergonomic than Sony's are.

Also, someone may already have a PS3 controller, and dont feel like paying for a 360 controller. Common sense...

I have had it work on 32 bit OS, but it doesn't work on 64 bit.

I've gotten it to work on my main PC, but I have to run the driver installation program every time that I want to use the controllers.
