Can i use my ps3 controller on my laptop?

Or not? Not really sure. Either way, i have a converter for a regular ps or ps2 controller, but thought this would be a bit easier since i have access to my ps3 stuff right now.
 
Yes it does work with USB. The last time I tried it, I had to download a driver, though. Just search for one online.

Also, someone may already have a PS3 controller, and dont feel like paying for a 360 controller. Common sense...
 
I've gotten it to work on my main PC, but I have to run the driver installation program every time that I want to use the controllers.
