Can I use more than one DSL modem on the same phone line?

My reason for this question is that I want to get DSL and share it with my grandparents we live on the same parcel of land and the phone lines that go to their house go right past mine and we already share one phone line for dial up. Instead of running the 250+ ft of cat 5 that it would require I am wondering if it is possible to use more than one DSL modem on the same phone line?

Do you guys share the same phone number? If so, no it won't work. If not, then it will.

Of course, you shall incur the wrath of more monthly fees as well.

It is cheaper to just run 250 ft of cat5. You can buy it over at Home Depot for 9 cents a foot.

Well you can have two, but you just can't have them both on at the same time.
