I have an older PC that won't accept the linksys WirelessG NIC i have. If i install an Ethernet NIC and connect it to a wireless access point, will it allow me to acces the rest of my existing wireless network?

It is your life and time (and AT bandwidth), but What is it that you do not understand in the above sentence?

OK let try this.

Few Wireless Cable/DSL Router and many Access Point can be configured as a Wireless Client.

Once they are configured this way they can be plug into a regular NIC and would connect this computer to a Regular Wireless Network.

However if the computer has a USB port it will be much cheaper to buy a Wireless USB Client (some of them go for $10 on sale).
