Can I use a SD card with Memory stick to SD adapter in a SONY Camera ?

I have a Sony W120. As SD cards are less expensive than Memory Stick's , can I use a SD card with a Memory Stick to SD adapter in this camera ?

Which adapter would you suggest ?

If the adapters exist, I would say they would work.

As long as the adapter isn't bigger than a regular memory stick.

I don't think it's possible since both SD cards and Memory sticks are 24mm wide...it would be hard to find an adaptor that doesn't exceed that width. If the adaptor did exceed 24mm, there is no way it would fit in the camera.

Edit: I also don't think MS is even electrically compatible with SD. You're probably better off just going to slickdeals to find some deals on Memory Stick media.

No, the card's controller is different, don't think there is a converter and even if it does, I wouldn't want to use it.

SanDisk (where I work and do firmware) has a controller that has both SD and MS interface in it, and can be loaded with firmware for either MS or SD at production time. We do this to reduce risk of sudden swing in demand.

Cards are so cheap now, just buy one.
