I have a Linksys wga54g wireless-g adapter and want to use it on my PC. will it work or is specifically ONLY for consoles. Id imagine it would work but I am not 100% sure.

I am not sure about that specific model, but usually those devices are just Wireless bridges that prioritize certain ports (if even that).. just try plugging it into a device to see if it works as a bridge. It will not work as anything else though

But I should also note that I also have a wireless router on my network already its the befw11s4. so im broadcasting. Dont know if I had made that clear or not.

You mentioned that you want to make it as an Access Point.

If you want to use it as Client card for your computer you can.

Just plug it in.

However It has Nothing to do with Access Point.

Access Point is the Wireless part of your Router.

Access Point = A point where Wireless computer can Access the Network.

how do i do it then? I tried to use it but couldnt figure out how to make it act like an access point or whatever you want it called. It doesnt read like a wireless adapter would w/a signal strength and what not showing up. it doesnt connect through a usb so it doesnt install itself and theres no software to install. so i dont know what to do now. i can access it through 192.168.1.250 and change the settings so what now?

it should just plug into the ethernet adapter on your computer after you configure it.
