Can I use a different USB receiver for a wireless keyboard set?

Hey guys, this may be a silly question but I broke my receiver (i pushed my tower back up against a wall and accidentaly broke the usb port completely).

I don't want to buy a whole new set since I absolutely adore the keyboard and mouse aesthetics and ergonomics, (Mx Duo owners understand) So can I buy a receiver off ebay and know it will work?

Thanks

Yes as long as it is from the same type of Keyboard and mouse combo. As it is in your case.

that's odd then. wouldn't that mean that I can potentially have conflict with an adjacent PC with the same keyboard set? If he presses "connect" and I press MY mouse' conenct button, do I hook up to his?

regardless, its good news. thanks

The range for these things is usually only 10-12 feet or so...maybe less. It usually works by taking the stronger signal if there are two. So it would probably still work anyway
