Can I use a 3700+ SD heatsink in an athlon XP 1800+?

I have an old athlon XP 1800+ comp and it has a pretty crappy heatsink+fan, I got the stock cooler from the 3700+ SD I bought but its laying around since I'm using an XP-90, I was wondering if its possible to use the heatsink from the SD or are they not compatible?

I've not got the 3700+ yet but they're different sockets and it looks like it's cooler uses a motherboard bracket, which you dont get on the XP motherboards.

So probably not.

(no this isnt exactly the certainty you were after, but seeing as nobody else has made a more useful post...)
 
Nah, The a64 HS are way bigger and the retention clip is different. You'd have to mod it etc.
