can i transport an os to another hdd?

I want to sell a harddrive but I want to know if it's possible to transfer all the files over to another hdd, I have 3 total so I wont be using the hdd with the files on it to boot...

See what i mean? is it possiblle?
 
What data are you transfering ? copy and paste works as long as there is not a OS sys involved,if OS involved then use ghost by symantec
