Can i take my new harddrive thru airport security?

Hi,

I leaving the stats the 18th. While I was here i got a 80GB 'cuda IV (89$ fry deal). I don't have anything on it, but can i take it thru the xray and all that? Is there any thing there will break it? Or do you think it's better if i mail it to my self?

Please help my out here!

dont worry, I doubt they will find anything or for that matter, even have the xray machine plugged in

The x-rays will not hurt it. I carry my laptop thru all the time.

No problem what so ever. I just came back from Germany with a HD full of stuff for my buddy. It was easier to put 20 Gig on a HD then to burn it all.

make sure you don't have pr0n! pr0n will cause the metal detector to ring off because it magically converts your harddrives data disks! but then again, you don't have pr0n
