Hello all,

New to Anandtech! I recently purchased an LG 3d Home Theater system. It was ok but not exactly what I needed so I returned it and purchased a Yamaha RX-V675 reciever.

One of the very neat features I did enjoy about the LG was something called "in private" audio. This allowed a reverse stream of anything being processed through the system to be played back on moble devices such as ipad/iphone/android devices. This is VERY usefull when trying to watch a movie or listen to the radio and everyone else is talking or somone is trying to study.

As robust as the Yamaha is it will not do this as I can tell so far. I have tried every function, read the manual, and searched the internet. :(

I was wondering if anyone might know of a way to I can do this thru an App? I can use either an Apple or Android device as both are common in my house.

So to clarify I would like something that actually streams Audio to a phone/tablet instead of the uber common stream my device to my home theater system.

Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated!

Chris

most phones don't have the bluetooth profiles to receive audio - only send.

Sounds like he was able to do this with his previous LG receiver, so I'm guessing his phone does have the support.

lg in private isn't over bluetooth, it's over wifi using an LG receiver app on the phone.
