can I send something a bit bulk using regular mail? (envelope with stamps)

Sure, as long as you use enough postage for it. Whether it's a good idea or not is another question.

I got a memory stick, wrapped in bubble wrap, in an envelope, in a box with some cardboard shredding around it.

You'd need to put "Do not bend" on it I'd guess. I'd be worried about it getting snapped or something.

Take it to the post office, have 'em weigh it and tell you how much postage it'll cost.
