Can I run T-Bird 1.3Ghz @ 1.25Ghz ?

I have T-Bird 1.3Ghz, but the highest multiplyer on my mobo Asus A7V is only 12.5.
Now, if I run my 1.3Ghz cpu @1.25Ghz, will it work and what are the negative effects that could result from doing so ?

Thank you.

Regards...

You might want to try to find a BIOS update and flash (update) it. Updating BIOS usually brings higher CPU support, and you may be able to run that T-Bird at 1.3GHz.

If you choose to run at 12.5x, you will just see an unnoticable slowdown.

<< It's only a 200FSB CPU? Ouch. Can't you just set it to jumper-free mode, and detect it? >>

does an A7V do 133? if so, you could drop the mult and raise the fsb.

anyway, the only negative effect is that it iwll be a tiny (not noticeable) bit slower.
benefit: it will run a little bit cooler too.
