even though the bag says "It is normal for some unpopped kernels to remain in a fully popped bag. Do not repop"

I got enough seeds to start a plantation :frown:

So that you can open up another bag to get some more corn, then have more unpopped corn...then you keep doing that until your all out of popcorn and have to go to the store to buy more.

The reason popcorn pops is because there is a little drop of water in the center of the corn. When it gets hot it turns in to steam and the whole thing explodes resulting in popcorn. The reason some of them don't pop is because they don't have as much water in the center or there was a leak that let all of the steam out or something along those lines. You shouldn't repop popcorn because if it didn't pop the first time, it probably isn't going to do very well the second time.

Basically, it won't work. It is not a processed product; some kernels cannot pop, they'll just burn.

Good thing you tried it out first. Spare me the smoke stench :)
