Hi,
I just got my new IBM hard drive in today. :) Now I have 2 identical drives.
I want to reformat my hard drive into a raid array. It would be good to have a way to do this without having to download all those "critical" windows up dates all over again when reinstalling. Is there a folder in thw windows directory that I can backup to save these files?

TIA
Tony

i copy these folders and there contents to my backup drive then after installing win2k clean i copy them back to the proper locations and then run windows update. it see's that the files are on the pc and only downloads what it needs. much faster this way.

C:\winnt\Service Pack Files
C:\winnt\Driver Cache
C:\Windows Update Setup Files
C:\Program Files\Windows Update

first i do the service pack
then IE5.5 and service pack
then all the rest

this has work everytime :)
