Can I "re-partion" a slave hdd from Windows 2000?

Hello, I want to know if it's possible to partion/re-partion (split my hdd into several devices) my slave hdd when I'm in my Windows 2000 SP4 OS.

I get a new hdd on Monday and would like to know if I can "partion" make a "re-partion" of my old hdd from Windows.

I'm sorry for my bad English but I think that the word "re-partion" COULD be correct.

The word you are looking for is "partition", you missed one "t" there.

The answer is yes, when you get a brand new drive it usually has no
partitions on it from the factory. So what you want is to create a new
partition on it.

You can do this from the Disk Management console. Which you can get
to by right-clicking on "My Computer" and choosing the "manage" option;
or by running the diskmgnt.msc command from the Start -> Run menu.

You should see a layout of all drives attached and running, and the partition
structure on each.

"re-paritition" is a term normally used to mean changing the size or filesystem of
an existing partition, either by deleting it and creating new ones, or by using
a third party tool like Acronis Disk Director or Partition Magic to do the
work without destroying data.
