Can I put two modems in my rig??

Can I put two modems in my rig without them screwing each other up. ( So I could say fax, and be online at the same time on two seperate lines of course)

This is a question a friend asked me and I'm not sure.

Can it be done???

Sure, the only problems being available resources and ports but once you've figured out which should have what, you're good to go.

Now is it going to be a royal pain to configure or no big thing? This is going to be just a plain jane pc with nothing special attached.

You could buy a shotgun modem also if your internet provider supports it.
You still use 2 connections with one modem.
Or you can use both modems for double the speed and still fax while surfing, it will drop to a one modem speed while faxing and automatically go back to double when done.
Certain modems can be shotgun together 2 into 1, check with your modem manufacturer
