Can I put a velociraptor in a Laptop

i don't know of any laptop that will fit a 3.5" drive. how about an external outfit with an eSATA connector if your laptop has eSATA?

and only top end SSDs will outperform the veloci, most lower end ones (100-300$) will be much worse then the veloci.

depends. i have seen laptops that take 2 harddrives one on top of the other, where you can run with just 1 VR and it takes up part of the slot for the other one. it runs hot as hell though and will die sooner

ed: removing the drive from the 3.5in drive cooler voids the warranty as well, just FYI

also laptop drives normally have the SATA and power plug into the drive itself... so you might have to brake the plugs on the unused "drive" to make it fit.

I think he is referring to removing the 2.5" drive from the 3.5" Velociraptor cooler. It isn't a true 2.5" drive though, because of the added thickness (as others previously pointed out).
