Hi,

I work for a KVM manufacturer in marketing. Just don't know if I would be allowed to post the company's press release in this forum ?

If not, can anyone kindly advise where would allow me to post company's press release ?

Thank you.

I haven't seen it, but I would imagine a press release would be tantamount to advertising for the company which is not allowed. You can post a thread in Moderator Discussions which includes the actual press release and we will let you know if you can post it elsewhere.

The release must be accompanied by the words, "Free iPods" and your grammar needs to be poor.

It doesn't sound like there should be a problem unless it's against your company's NDA. But then again isn't a press release supposed to be public?

He's not asking if his company will allow it, he wants to know if AnandTech will allow it. My guess is that it would be considered spam.

I think it's a brilliant marketing ploy. The spammer is asking permission to spam. I mean, there's all the anticipation, the lead-up, heated arguments and finally the spam.

What I think is interesting is that the spammer asks for permission, and then the very next response is "Yeah it should be ok" by a guy who's posts consist of "many thanks...." in random threads.

It is also somewhat fishy that they both signed up around the same time.

There's gotta be some kind of rule that prohibits new members from posting spam until they have at least 50,000 "quality" posts.

Press releases are nothing by adverts.
This OP and the 1st to respond are simply spammers

If TechBoy can use the "ATOT Effect" to help someone he doesn't even know, then I think you can post a legal press release. Just make sure it's under P&N or Nik will jump down your throat.
