Can I plug a PCI card into a PCIe slot?

I just bought a PCI tvtuner from CompUSA when they were going out of business and noticed that I dont have another PCI slot avail! Will this work? I know PCIe into PCI doesnt work but...
 
OP: It won't physically fit, and if you made it fit then you're enjoying a fine case of square peg -> round hole.

This reminds me of a pic I saw of a video card that someone cut up just to make it fit on a motherboard. Hahaha!!! It was on the Atari forums I think.
