I called the shopping channel the other day because they were tryingto rip people off.. the mexican lady on the other end wanted my credit card number and I said something like 5444 564VAGINA 8654.. and she just went on like nothing happened. Is "vagina" spanish for 7 or something?

Least you don't have to try to explain the concept of a NTAS server, permissions, and what fiber terminals and service addresses are for Verizon's FTTP project to VZ's national helpdesk out in India. It's great fun.

Interestingtly, the english of the two Indians I work with, who've lived in the US for a few years, though influenced by their accent, is far more formal and proper than the majority of native english speakers I know.

I spoke to a couple customer service representatives from Dell a couple years ago for a defective flat panel display I bought. I was on the phone with them for about an hour total and accomplished absolutely nothing. It was incredibly frustrating and it was difficult to understand either of the dopes on the other end of the phone.

BTW-I can usually figure out accents but these guys were fvcking almost impossible to understand.

i used to be on tech support calls with Dell when they were based in the US

There was absolutely no difference. You had to run their diagnostics CD and go through every step of their troubleshooting chart before they do anything useful for you

Couple years ago? I did the same thing couple of weeks ago. GOT me NO where. Got transfer 3 times and waited an hour on hold and just gave up.
