Can I overclock my Compaq?

I just got a PIII 733. Im not sure what the motherboard is, but it has built in video and sound. Does anyone know how much I can overclock it. It is compaq, so i dont have very high expectations...........

Why not? You can overclock it but chances of losing your warranty is very high. Compaq does not like people fiddling with the inside of their pc. ;)

You won't be able to OC it. The 733 is using a 133 fsb already, additionally, I'm sure the Compcrap mobo has NO OCing provisions built into it.

Hmm.. your name saids it all, to try to oc that is sycho.

Compaq make thier own mobo, they don't support oc, specially when it's already running at 133fsb, chances of you getting higher is unlikely.

that's right. companies like compaq, dell, etc. built their systems to be very stable, therefore sometimes sacrificing performance and speed to do so, but not necessarily saying that your system is slow. that's their phylosophy. and the chances of having oc'ing features are pretty rate if any, but it never hurts to try to see whether it works.
